      too conditioned by HOllywood and bad acting.  They need to rely on serious thought about their judgments and less on overt demonstrations of emotion.

          your link (thank you) and I couldn't disagree with Herbert more.

          Look at how the Wall Street campaign funders have abandoned Obama because he succeeded in pushing through a little regulation on their activities.  It is a progressive dream that Obama's hands are not tied.  My god, look at how the Repubs have bashed him and opposed him at every turn, practically denying him his presidency, according him no respect, no cooperation, nothing but contempt, derision, opposition.

          Progressives look to their leaders to make up for the power they don't get in elections.  We need to look to ourselves and work harder and more effectively to get the power we want in political offices.  Obama can't do it alone.  But American progressives expect him to.  It's wishful thinking.
