    these job numbers DID have an effect, whether it shows in the polls or not.  They stepped on Mitt's victory (note the AP report in this APR---solemn faces on a plane) AND they made it possible for Obama to cross off another one of his promises, bringing unemployment under 8%.  There can be no argument that these numbers are good for the president's narrative in these next weeks.

      were it not for the debate, we'd be talking about how good these numbers are, but I'd be saying it doesn't matter that much ;-)

        the same cannot be said for the republicans.  These numbers seem to matter so much to them, that they've cooked up a conspiracy theory in record time to combat them.
