Give the whining and woe a break.

The world hasn't come to an end.

The nukes aren't flying, an asteroid isn't headed our way (that we know of) and these are POLLS short term,

    STOP this nonsense.

President and now they feel they have a platform to bitch from and to demoralize everyone else. Romney has been down since the start of the election and Obama has had a few bad days. Repugs did not give up on Romney for all of that time, yet these "Democrats", which I assume them to be, since they are on this site are bailing like fish out of a boiling hot pond over a not great but not horrific debate performance. Ridiculous.

I'll just speak for myself here, but I have been an ardent supporter of Barack Obama ever since 2007 and although I don't agree with every decision he's made or idolize him, I surely do like him a great deal. I watched his speech in Ohio on they day following the debate and he was so appealing I got that "gosh I love this guy" feeling. I want more than anything for him to win this election. For me personally the idea of the ACA being repealed is really distressing. I need that law to be implemented. My family needs it. In fact I strongly believe the country needs it, and that mittens getting elected would be a fucking disaster.

I have been scared since the debate. The poll numbers show in factual data that there has been damage done and the chances of victory, while still good, have gone down. The full extent of it is not known yet. So I'm struggling with fear and trying to remain optimistic. I sent another donation to the Obama campaign. I'm trying to manage my fears and get back on track.

I am willing to forgive him the bad debate performance, but I am not willing to pretend it didn't happen and I'm not willing to let it stand that anyone who has been upset about it just doesn't like him and wants to demoralize. That is absolutely wrong. In fact if you haven't noticed, what a lot of people are doing is grasping for any signs of good news that would show the bleeding has stopped and we are back on track to win this election.
