  •  I recommend summing up the lies (9+ / 0-)

(since they were coming fast and furious) in a single sentence and moving on.

Something like, "Whoa, I'll leave it to the fact checkers to untangle that web."  and then, "Here's what I propose to do based on the positions of [insert position on topic] I've held all along."

you'll just frustrate yourself and never get to tell people what you are about.

You leave it to the fact checkers, but the "Whoa......" is pitch perfect.  I believed the President won the debate, but then again, I was looking for substance, not razzle dazzle.

But I do agree, if he had used a line like that, even one time in the debate, the meme that night would have been different.  But what I will also say, is the entire meme changed the next day of the debates from Romney won, to Romney lied and wants to kill Big Bird.  That is an overwhelming loss for Romney in my opinion.

    •  Or you lack of the command on facts is astounding (2+ / 0-)

the fact checkers will have a day on this one if they are not to busy with the rest of them you tell tonight. Of course you can always have your campaign staff walk these deceptions back tomorrow when most of the Americans are not watching.. like the last time we debated.
