    However, different bacteria reflect different wavelengths of the light spectrum which is why you see different colors.  All natural water has bacteria.  When you start to add unnatural things or change the pH of the water, new bacteria might arrive changing the colors that get reflected back.  Pretty colors in certain parts of nature are actually signs of human interference unfortunately.
