    one hard. People around here are pissed about all the crap that Rick Scott has done (he has seriously damaged the State Hospital (a major local employer in the rural parts of the district) with spending cuts. I think we can leverage anger with Scott to bring home some of the white rural democrats who switched from Boyd to Southerland last time. Al Lawson is African-American, but he has been in politics a long time around here and folks know him and are comfortable with him. The district has a high percentage of African-Americans who are very motivated to come out and vote for Obama. Plus there are a fair number of Latino voters; the only problem is that many of the Latino residents are new to the area and haven't gotten registered to vote. I believe this district can be won. Please help out if you can: Al Lawson
