Still, BlueDragon didn't call you a racist.  He said your argument that inner city gangs are more of a threat than Arkansas Bible-thumpers is racist.  It's a dumb thing to say, but it's not a personal insult.

    •  okay, so, i am just making a racist argument then? (0+ / 0-)

i am not at all.  i am just making an argument that probably feels like it because gangs are often criticized by racists as proxies for criticizing all minorities.  i am still pissed that i was told my argument is bullshit racism.  what the hell?

as for the argument that the idiot legislator is more dangerous than gangs who are killing people... what the fuck can i even say to that other than the fact that it's absurd on it's face.  that moron is probably being laughed out of his job as we speak.  nobody in this country is going to accept killing kids for not obeying.  there is no threat from this moron nutcase.  gangs ARE a real and constant threat.  there is no contest.

so long and thanks for all the fish

That was not the argument until you made it the argument. The diary was about Fuqua and his movement. People were upset/appalled about what Fuqua said. Some people were wondering why extremist Christians aren't considered a threat the way every other extremist group is. And you brought in the non sequitur, "Nuh-uh, gangs are way more violent than Christians."

The original poster didn't say that extremist Christians were more dangerous than extremist Muslims. He said extremist Christians were more dangerous than American Muslims, who are persecuted just for being Muslim.
