DavidNYC has decreed that only one diary can be up on the front page box of DKE from the same author at the same time.  If you would like, I can split this diary apart into sections, but only one would be viewable in the box via the DK Elections tag.
    What is DKE? ;-)

What or where is its front page box?

Srsly, I never go to DKE. I see your diaries on the regular diary panel on Daily Kos. The rules there permit multiple diaries by the same poster; they just go scrolling past pretty fast.

So it depends, Are you writing and posting this megadiary for the smaller in-crowd at DKE? Or by posting three shorter diaries, are you trying to get new readers from the hundreds of thousands of regular Kossacks?

I'll read your diaries in any case. No problem for me.

What or where is its "front page box"?

When I go to  http://elections.dailykos.com/... well, ain't much there. It's like a Front Page of selected diaries, all of which appear on the main page of dKos, right? Essentially it's David Nir, Steve Singiser, Election Diary Rescue, and today's special by dreaminonempty.

Of to the right is a list of "Related Diaries". Is that puny thing the "front page box" that David will not let any diarist have more than one diary on? Oy vey.

So for that puny thing, StephenCLE is not allowed to break up a looooong diary covering forecasts on the Presidential race by states, the Governors races, the Senate, and the House into separate more readable diaries.

But in fact, yesterday StephenCLE did have two diaries on it, his diary of Oct 1 AND his diary of Oct 8.

For what it's worth, I never went to DKE. I was a member at Swing State, but when it migrated, it didn't offer more than regular Daily Kos, just more specialization.

I always scroll thru all the diaries on the front dKos page. I pick out the political diaries there that I want to read. And in fact, there are more political diaries there than at DKE. They may not be 'approved' by any higher power, but there they are.

So if StephenCLE posts multiple diaries at duos, and David posts only one of them at DKE, will StephenCLE gain more new followers or lose too many old ones. Hmmmn.

So I appreciate you giving this perspective.  Maybe the divide up method is the way to go.  My biggest following is from DKE, actually from the old Swing State Project, so I have to consider those people as well.

If I divide everything up next week, what I'll probably do is post presidential and senate first and send those to the DK front page, and then the House diary will come last, and that will be tagged with the DK elections tag for DKE, and links to the other two sections will be provided within so that those folks won't have to search for the Presidential or Senate analysis.  Rules are rules, and that's the best way I can think of doing it.

Appreciate your comments and compliments as always.
