  •  Throwing us under the bus re Medicare and SS (9+ / 0-)

Having talked to a senior down in Dixie the day after The Debate in Denver, I was told this:

Obama is lying every time he opens his mouth!  He is taking 716 Billion dollars out of Medicare!
It didn't matter how many times I tried to explain that Obama has taken that money out of waste and over-charging from Medicare Advantage, and is putting it back in to Medicare in ways that strengthen it.  And that Lyin' Ryan has also taken the $716billion out of Medicare, but has just given it back to the insurance companies, in his "budget", which will then weaken Medicare's stability.

That's the Republican lying, distortion-machine doing a good job, especially via its major megaphone, Fox Noise.

Didn't matter what I tried to clarify about Romney's major lies during that debate.

    And Obama's black.  Also.  :\

claim that the Democrats' plan is to call them liars for a month. It reinforces the idea to them that R/R are telling the truth and reduces reality to "he said, she said'" This person apparently accepts the version of reality portrayed by the denizens of Bullshit Mountain in which R/R always tell the truth. They know this because the things R/R say that fact-checkers claim to be lies or half-truths are actually well-established facts in the alternative-reality of the right wing. Tax cuts for the wealthy always create jobs and lead to economic growth, life begins at conception, Obama is a socialist/nazi/Kenyan/post-colonialist dictator who intends to take all of their guns and use UN black helicopters to take away their freedums. As Edith Ann would say, "And that's the troof!"

BTW - note to Paul Ryan: If y'all change your strategy from lying about everything, then perhaps the Democrats would change their strategy from pointing that out.
