Wasn't looking so much to kick anyone in the ass, more just to shake them a bit. I came on here yesterday to cheer the fact that Gallup and even Ras showed some improvement (and being a poll junkie I knew full well it was quite possible that the PEW poll, being a non-tracking poll, may have done most of its calls on Th/Fri, much like PPP)

And all I saw when I got here was a bunch of supposed progressives acting like we amended the constitution and now Bush will be President forever, with the Koch Brothers as his viceroys.

Being a history buff, I like to consider myself an "FDR Democrat" despite only being 23 years old. Wanna know a real bad poll?

From wikipedia: "The Literary Digest is best-remembered today for the circumstances surrounding its demise. As it had done in 1920, 1924, 1928 and 1932, it conducted a "straw poll" regarding the likely outcome of the 1936 presidential election. Before 1936, it had always correctly predicted the winner."

That poll showed FDR losing in a landslide. This is before the internet and before most polls even existed. This was all many had to go on in regards to polling, and it was accurate before, so why not this time?

I get the feeling that if FDR's supporters reacted like some on here are today, the course of American history would have been far different.
