    CNN is blasting that the new poll demonstrates that the race has tightened.  But I don't remember CNN publishing a previous poll in Ohio.  How can you make that claim of 'tightening' with no previous poll as a frame of reference?

      and Paleo responded that the CNN average of all OH polls, their "poll of polls" has Obama by 9. So since 4 is less than 9(I think), it means Romney is gaining.

        as it's not like-for-like. But CNN have been shamelessly pushing a tight election at every opportunity for months, so they're not going to let an inconvenient poll number get in the way of that.

          I remember their WI poll was several points closer than the average.  The bottom line is that they don't win without OH.  Let's assume the President will be better in the next debate.  But even with the debate performance of his life Romney wouldn't win if the election were held today.  Bottom line.  

          Sometimes you have to touch the bottom to know how deep the water is.
