What drives me absolutely crazy about the "news" for Obama's entire presidency is that facts just don't seem to matter.

Romney has clearly decided that there is no consequence at all to lying, and no benefit at all to being factually correct.

If he gets elected, he will have proved that point to everybody, in both parties.

I'm not sure I can stay in a so-called democracy where facts don't matter.  Not sure where I'd be able to move to, but the "I'll leave if Romney is elected" thing is becoming less of a joke statement.  (especially as if he's elected it is likely we'll lose the Senate and House as well, not to mention locking down a conservative supreme court)

It very much freaks me out that polls can move so much on a debate performance that was so dishonest.  I don't care how bad Obama's body language was, what he actually said was decent.

But it seems that my countries citizens do not care about facts.  And that is profoundly scary considering that our military spends nearly half of the entire world's budget and has enough nukes to trash the world now, never mind waiting for climate change.

I've been cautiously optimistic, watching Romney stumble over the last 6 months, losing ground steadily.  I had hoped that meant that the lies were starting to lose potency.

Then one debate filled with lies and the race is turned upside down, if even only for 2 days.  That is fucking crazy.  It makes me ashamed of my country.
