    Rather than take revenge, wait....

Patience.  Wishing bad karma brings it back to yourself.  Be passive.  Time will take care of the matter for you, without you lifting a finger.

After that, you can enjoy a moment of schadenfreude and go on with your life.

It takes energy to hate and plot revenge.  That energy can better be expended doing good things to offset the bad things certain cretins have wrought.

    •  Karma huh? He'll pay scores of doctors to keep (6+ / 0-)

      him alive till he's 101.

Money trumps karma more ways then I care to think about.

Look at Dick Cheney. There's a guy that can get karma to run away whimpering with one snarl.

But eventually..., eventually..., the Grim Reaper claims all as his own.  It's the only consolation I have regarding our lying war criminals of the recent past.

Thanks, anyway, but I'd rather not think about Dickie.  That sets up all sorts of negative vibes because of my frustration that our Congre$$ Critter$ didn't stop him and Dumbya and their criminal cohorts from leading us into two illegal and unconstitutional wars against a little gang of criminals based on lies for the sake of oil, nor did they bring them to Justice when the truth was finally overwhelming.

I do NOT forgive them (or "Impeachment-is-off-the-Table" Pelosi).  I can't move on until there is some kind of resolution regarding the past crimes against humanity.  Criminals need to go to trial and be punished, not allowed to go free and sleep soundly in their beds every night because they're psychopaths with no conscience.

So..., I passively wait (so it doesn't affect my health and blood pressure problems), and hope that at some point history will see their crimes for what they are and make sure the history books accurately report their crimes.

I'm old, so I don't anticipate a just and accurate history will be published during my lifetime.  Lacking power and political clout, I really can only hope history has better and more accurate historical perspective than what current political and media sources have provided.

    •  Sorry but, no. (0+ / 0-)

Karma doesn't cut it when we have to deal with people who threaten the well being of those around them.

Joseph Stalin died peacefully of old age--after being responsible for the imprisonment, torture, and agonizing deaths of tens of millions of his fellow human beings. Would it have been better for someone to have killed him in 1923, or sit by the river waiting for karma to do the trick thirty years and 30 million deaths later?

Of course, this Siegel character is no Stalin, but the fact is that his kind need to be dealt with appropriately before they can keep damaging other lives. I don't mean murder. I do mean that we as a society need to come together to write, pass and enforce laws that prevent and punish wealth hoarding and abuse of economic power for petty personal gain, crimes of which he is clearly guilty of.

Sit around waiting for karma long enough, and you'll be dead, too. Better to stand up and fight when you're attacked.
If people had had your attitude in the 1850s we'd still have slavery in this country. No thank you.
