  •  Probably needs work (4+ / 0-)

Doesn't have granite countertops, or brazillian cherry floors, or an open floor plan. I'll bet the bathrooms are small, it doesn't have closets the size of my bedroom, or a pool. And the colors are likely wrong (no matter what they are)

I'll bet you could get it for way less than it's really worth, and I'll also bet it's perfectly liveable.

Just not the latest bells and whistles. Which will change next year.

    •  Actually, the floor plan is open (1+ / 0-)

And hardwoods throughout.  They're easier to keep cool here where it's hot.

But yes, no pool. Can't build one of those on the side of a hill, unless you build it into a deck. I've seen it done, which is ok, for a small pool. But in earthquake country, it's still kind of insane.  And the average mansion buyer doesn't want a small pool to impress his friends.

Mostly, though, it's surrounded by massive structures with pools, tennis courts, etc.  So I think for THAT buyer, it pales in comparison.

And there are the neighbors, him killing off people, her screaming about stains in the middle of the night, and their ghosts.

I keep watching the price, which makes mr grover really nervous...

I'm not sure if he's more afraid of Banquo's ghost or a humongous mortgage. I tend to think the latter.
