    there's only one party willing to subsidize them, and I don't doubt for a moment that they are keenly aware of that.  Still, they have no choice but to insist on a public non partisan stance.  You can't have a "PUBLIC" broadcasting system, paid for by the tax payers, that appears political and ready to campaign for the Democrats.

    We agree totally that they've milked this for all it's worth.  I wrote this diary because to me, to continue with this, even one more day, begins to be an error for the Obama campaign, and he/we don't need that right now.

      All shows are created without federal funds.

      Paula Kreger on funding:

      Kerger also fact-checked Romney -- who she has tussled with before -- pointing out that PBS doesn't get any direct money from the government.

      "In fact, the money that comes from the government into the Corporation for Public Broadcasting goes to our member stations," she said.

      Some in this thread seem to know better than Paula, it maybe they have an agenda..........

      Did you know PBS makes more money on merchandising than PBS gets from the Feds?
