  •  There's Bill Moyers, there are dedicated (6+ / 0-)

correspondents out there like Richard Engel and Lara Logan. There's a great deal of talent at The Nation, including John Nichols, Ari Melber, Chris Hayes, MHP, etc, etc.
And speaking of those last two, there's the week-end shows on MSNBC. And there's some other talent at MSNBC, including some very fine analysts and contributors.
And of course there's Amy Goodman.

But for me, the best thing to happen to journalism in recent years was the man himself, Keith Olbermann.
He's not there any more, and more's the pity for that, but he opened things up for all the others to come along in a major way. He was a pioneer in much the same way as the guy who's tagline he revived to use as his own.
       Good night and good luck!

    •  I've started watching the weekend (5+ / 0-)

morning shows with Chris Hayes and MHP.  They are really quite good .... and they have alternative points of view (i.e. Republicans!) on there.  The ones they have though, are of the more sane variety.

      •  I love both of those shows (0+ / 0-)

They have the time to really dig into the issues.
