    This, more than anything else is driving the polls right now--voter enthusiasm.  If Joe can give Dems something to be happy about, that enthusiasm gap is going to narrow greatly.

      Romney is benefiting from all the talk that he is now leading, that he won the debate, etc. So the VP debate matters a lot because it can (and will) change that narrative.

        in Phila Inquirer poll of PA Obama leads 50 /42 with 8% undecided and these same people said that Mitts won the debate over Obama 65% to 15% (who thought O won) to 12% tie and 8% undecided.

        In NJ, Obama leads 51/40 with 10% undecided but those same people polled said Mitts won the debate 71% to 12% who thought Obama won, with 12% a debate tie and 6% undecided.
