    sent to every registered voter? I barely remember those day as I am 57 but I know for sure my parents would get one. It could be their state party sent them out but I think the League of Women Voters would send them out.  It would list candidates views on several issues.  
    Then it was really hard in the debates for a candidate to do what Mitt did and deny he ever said something and deny his positions on issues.

    I always donate to the League of Women Voters.
    Voters guides are expensive to mail out to every registered voter so I think that died out in the 80s or maybe even in the 70s. Or maybe I am recall the PA Democratic Party used to send them to every voter.

    But I do recall these Voter Guides arriving in the mail for my parents as I was growing up and them going over them and reading them. Many times, the candidates down ballot were also listed and their key positions.
