want to control them. However, that being said, once they have a bit of power--look at what they do with it?

They go nuts and reveal themselves to be the tinfoil nutbags we all know and love.

They can only get so far, without completely undermining their silly little plans, by being their usual charming selves.

It's one thing, to want some kind of order in a school, or standardized education. It's another thing entirely inserting junk history or social sciences into a curriculum outside the borders of Texas or Oklahoma-- or anywhere outside  the deep south.

Be concerned. But don't give up. You have just as much right, to demand better materials in our tax-funded schools as anyone else--with or without kids. After all, most schools are funded by Taxes.

Some of them do want to burn books, and goose step in the streets. But most do not. And if you can reveal the creeps and their connections, you can do a lot to undermine any power they have gained. The other is to speak up and to vote, as often as possible.

If you are concerned about the curricula in public schools, in teacher pay or qualifications, etc., then speak up. I am sure there are a lot of parents out there and teachers who would appreciate the back up.
