  •  Ironic (12+ / 0-)

TPM has a post (in the Muckraker section) on a video by the infamous James O'Keefe that features the Regional Field Director in Houston for OFA who supposedly counseled a voter on how to vote in TX and FL in the same election.  The staffer was promptly fired.  O'Keefe claims to have more videos which he is releasing one at a time...

Irrespective of who and how its done, voter fraud is voter fraud.  At the same time, voting is a constitutional right---not like driving, traveling or buying beer.  There should be infringement upon an individual's constitutional right.  That's just my two cents.

    •  I'd be surprised if there wasn't a lot more of it (1+ / 0-)

      in Texas.

There are whole communities of old folks that come down to the Texas Hill Country (and maybe West Texas, too) part of the year to get away from snow. Since snowbirding became popular, it has gotten very much more difficult to pass bond measures for schools, etc. in those communities.

I'd be surprised if they didn't vote back home in the same way, unless they have grand kids in the districts where they live. ("The research shows" that old folks are much less likely to vote for school bonds in communities where the children don't look like theirs.)

It's also pretty easy to vote by mail once you're registered in TX....

At least this is my conspiracy theory that I wish I had the where with all to investigate.
