  •  Who do you trust -- what I want Obama to say (0+ / 0-)

I think it was on MSNBC, but the clip from FDR that is being played makes the argument that I sure hope Obama makes over the next two weeks.  Here it is:

Who do you trust on making sure Social Security and Medicare will be there for you?  .  From their inception, Republicans have argued that they need to end or drastically changed.  They claim their changes will make them sound.  Can you really trust them to make them sound when they have always opposed them or can you trust the people that have always worked to make sure they are there for you?

Now, listen to things the Republican ticket, the people who claim their changes to protect Social Security and Medicare, have been saying about health care in America.  First they tell us everyone has health care because they can go to the emergency room.  That is the most expensive way to provide health care and you can't get preventive health care in an emergency room.  Can you trust a person to protect our medicare system who believes emergency room health care is sufficient.  Now, they are saying no American dies in their home because they don't have health insurance.  Studies show that 26,000 Americans die each year because they don't have health insurance.  Can you trust the person who makes such a false statement to "fix" medicare so that it will be their for all Americans?

You can continue this about Social Security.  Please, please make this argument that the Romney-Ryan ticket cannot be trusted in securing these two vital programs so that all Americans can retire in dignity are still around
