My guess is they're people who want to vote for the winner. They won't decide until the consensus is clear.

"If my guy wins, I'm a winner!"

    •  I know one: (0+ / 0-)

My forty something coworker at a high end retail clothing store, where I toil away while getting my masters degree.

She's a single mom of four, very stylish, and very nice, and probably not dumb. But of all the people I work with, I probably have the least in common with her: she is intellectually incurious, and is only interested in things of immediate and nonthreatening gratification. Men with nice pecs, drinks with the girls or her gay friends, Honey Boo Boo, stuff like that.

I'm going to quote her comment on FB that she posted during the debate:

Got rid of all my cable channels so I'm watching the debate. The only thing I really know about these guys is what I see on Saturday Night Live. I'm not political AT ALL...but that Ryan is nice looking ♥ He seemed a little lost at times and I like Biden, silly smile and all. I'm one of the undecided voters...probably shouldn't base my vote on the 42 yr old VP hopeful with the nice biceps?

Now, she later says that "Michelle Obama" has her vote after one of her friends shockingly says to step away from the "evil Republican" and she (and most Gap Inc. employees) are so gay friendly (or just plain gay) I don't see her voting R. But this sort of "oooh, shiny, pretty" distracted thinking is what we're continuously fighting against. And, I would say, losing against.

(I was mostly kidding about Honey Boo Boo to prove a point, and sure enough down that thread she posted "I'm missing Honey Boo Boo for this!")
