      .... of Jefferson & Franklin & their peers: that what science reveals about the lawfulness and consistency of nature, is also a reflection of "the Mind of God" and "God's plan for the universe."

      I group that under the heading of "beliefs that science is necessarily theistic."  Contrast to "beliefs that science is necessarily atheistic", that are held by atheists.  See also my other comment above.  

      "Minus two votes for the Republican" equals "plus one vote for the Democrat." Arithmetic doesn't care about their feelings either!
