And, by the way, they talk about this Great Recession if it fell out of the sky, like, "Oh, my goodness, where did it come from?" It came from this man voting to put two wars on a credit card, to at the same time put a prescription drug benefit on the credit card, a trillion-dollar tax cut for the very wealthy. I was there. I voted against them. I said, no, we can't afford that.
While I appreciate the smackdown, and it's appropriate to call out Ryan for his hypocrisy on budget matters, the Great Recession had nothing to do with excessive war spending or tax cuts for the rich.  What happened was that unregulated bankers and Wall Streeters blew up the economy.   It's worrying because it suggests that Biden agrees with the Washington elite consensus that the budget deficit is the problem.  It's a problem, but it's pretty far down the list compared to the real problem, which is that the economy still sucks.  We need jobs, not a balanced budget.  Biden did briefly hit Ryan for voting against the jobs bill but he should have spent more time on it.
