  •  Incompatible? I don't think a lot would agree. (0+ / 0-)

A whole lot of people disagree that those are incompatible.  I once had a self-described fundamentalist christian (who is active in the republican party) recommend I read one of Ayn Rand's novels.

You can't follow Jesus and Ayn Rand both.  There's no way -- one or the other would have to be disobeyed.  That's what I mean by incompatible -- they're opposing ideas, and by trying to blend them, right-wing Christians have destroyed their hijacked version Christianity.  Thanks to that stuff, Christians aren't seen as the good guys anymore.

Damn near all the right-wing Christians follow Ayn Rand now.  That's why the Christian religion has failed.

It doesn't matter if anything you claim can be tied to christianity might oppose previous takes on it.  It's all nonsense.

As far as their take on religion goes, they are nihilists.  Talk to one, and they'll insist that unless you believe that bad behavior is punished by infinite torture, that you cannot possibly make moral decisions.  This is nihilist reasoning.

For them, anything can be justified.
