we know that Mittens has said a lot of crazy stuff to get into this spot. In order to win the nomination he had to pretend to agree with the nuts. I say "pretend" because I don't believe he has any actual values. He'll just say what he thinks he needs to say.

But, anyway, he's said all this wacko stuff. I'd like the President to keep asking him, does he or does he not stand by these statements? Pick out the craziest. Either Romney has to say he doesn't believe them, in which case the President could ask him why he said them, or else he's tied to the insane right fringe.

    •  or say he never said them. see, we keep making (0+ / 0-)

the mistake of calling him a liar without realizing he's a liar.

Why would he be required to tell the truth if asked that question? In fact, he already KNOW he wouldn't. His entire strategy is to present himself as palatable despite what's he's said before and it works because Americans are lazy and uninformed. That's why the polls are tied, dear.

So asking him if he stands by his crazy primary position or not is not going to get us where we need to be. He'll simply lie and say he never said it, knowing the average viewer won't check and the news won't call him out on it. Then it just becomes a shouting match between whether romney said this or that. Obama saying: you said it, Romney saying: no i didn't and here's what I believe.

It won't work. Romney's double positions are ALREADY OUT THERE. And yet...look at the polls. It doesn't matter if AFTER THE DEBATE  - what matters, and what Romney "gets" is that a fair number of uninformed people will be watching and all that matters is what he says at THAT TIME.

For the record, I am not a member of Courtesy Kos. Just so you know. Don't be stupid. It's election season. My patience is short.
