    When my dad told me I was too old to go out trick-or-treating. It hadn't occurred to me until then that one could "age out" of Halloween.

    I let my kids go until they decided they were too old and then mourned their loss too.

    Honestly, if kids, teens or even senior citizens show up at my door and are costumed and into it, I'd happily hand over candy all night long. It's an opportunity to have silly, goofy fun. I still love it.

    •  I fixed that by grabbing toddlers (0+ / 0-)

      ..and taking them with me. I always got given treats for the "trouble" of taking the kids our trick-or-treating.
