about Halloween, deserves a cheer from me!!

    CHEER!!

I'm so glad there are folks who refuse to let the fun of Halloween die, just as there are folks who celebrate the deeper, pagan meanings.  Sometimes, they're the same folks!

And, I'll bet everyone who saw your neighbourhood on the news was grateful for a little good news, for a change!
    Well done.

by the time they got a local news crew over there, we had been doing it almost 30 years! And as a matter of fact, it was an accident.  They were actually coming into the neighborhood, which is one of the oldest in Milwaukee and still quite upscale, to do a "local color" story.  Someone said, "Oh, are you here about the haunted house?"

Naturally, being reporters with keen noses for news, they replied, "What haunted house?"

Lytheria was pointed out to them, with a line back three houses despite the fact that it was cold and rainy that Sunday, and people in Victorian and steampunk garb walking around talking to the folks in line and doing bits of improv theatre.  They must have talked to my friend, the owner, for ten minutes and hung around every bit of half an hour taking shots and talking to people.  The "local color" feature that evening was entirely about the house and what we'd been doing under their noses for the past three decades.
