  •  Maybe (5+ / 0-)

Goode will peel off votes from Romney and people will remember how much they disliked George Felix Allen.

And Obama and Kaine will win...good Lord, please!!!!!!

    •  Goode could also hurt Hurt, the Republican (1+ / 0-)

Congressman who beat the great Tom Periello in VA-5 last time.

Periello won that seat from Virgil Goode, who took the seat from Virgil Goode.

I suspect a few older Republicans will check off Goode for president and think they've voted for Congress already.  Probably won't be enough to cost Hurt his seat, but this could be a big deal on certain voting machines.   For the newer touchscreens, it would be hard to make this error.  A lot of the rural precincts still use those tall steel boxes with the curtains.   It is pretty easy to lose track of what's what in one of those contraptions and then pull the vote lever.

Still waiting for Romney to release his source code!

hopes that with the passage of time that we have forgotten this:

There are times when I like Kos and times when I LOVE Kos. I'll never forget the role that this site played in the defeat of George Allen in 2006.

You are right about Goode, some won't remember if he's a Democrat, Republican or Independent running for Congress, the Senate or the Presidency...so he may do us some good this go-round.

    •  Goode...will peel votes of Romney.... (0+ / 0-)

that's what we are thinking but in NV PPP just Obama was the loser by a healthy 3% once Republican Johnson is added to the mix.....go figure...
