Have you started watching the current season of "Homeland" yet?

Damian Lewis reportedly signed a deal that could keep him on the show for another 5 seasons after this one (sounds more like an option than a guarantee).

      ...And I got interrupted.

However, I have a free day tomorrow. So I should be caught up & have some commentary ready tomorrow evening.

In regards to Damian Lewis' contract extension, if I remember right, the producers of "24" (some of which also produce "Homeland") would also do these long contract extensions & announce 'em, but it was no guarantee the characters would even survive the season, let alone be around for the full term of the contract.

Have you started watching this season of "The Thick of It" yet?

The show has always been a bit of a dramedy, but the episode that aired over the weekend was arguably the darkest episode in the series (with the previous episode being pretty damn bleak itself). Everything is falling apart for almost every character, and a good argument can be made that Malcolm is now an out-&-out villain of the show.

From a comment over at the A.V. Club:

"I think that the writers are trying to suggest this series that viewing politics as a battle and everyone who disagrees with you as an enemy is ultimately toxic and leads to a system like this, which perpetuates mindless vitriol and ruthless soldiers like Malcolm who only care about these arbitrary teams instead of any actual policy."
