  •  Very few "fair" Florida districts (1+ / 0-)

The new state Senate map is only marginally better than the old one.  We should pickup seats, but very few.  I live in the new state senate 8th district and it's close to a 50-50 seat.  In the end I think Bruno will pull this one out.  He's run a great campaign.

    •  What congressional districts does it (0+ / 0-)

      encompass?

      •  Having trouble finding those numbers (0+ / 0-)

But here the composition by county.

        Volusia - 72%
        Marion - 26%
        Lake - 2%

The new 8th encompasses about 2/3rds of Volusia County.  It's a slightly Democratic-leaning county.  The rest of the district is GOP-leaning Marion and Lake.

Both candidates are from the Daytona Beach suburbs.
