is now polling for Berkley makes me feel optimistic about winning that seat.

      42-39 makes me unhappy.

I'd want to see something more like 46-43 to feel OK about this.

      •  Well then I recommend donating to her campaign (0+ / 0-)

and helping give her the momentum to push those numbers in that direction. :)

        •  I hate people who push for donations (3+ / 0-)

especially from users who have already donated thousands of their own dollars to various Democratic campaigns.

Your flippant response is IMO an ignorant insult.

I hope; therefore, I can live.

          •  Hi, sorry it took me a bit to respond but I am (0+ / 0-)

going to keep this simple and civil.  Your response was a little uncalled for and all I did was recommend something.  Yeah I get people asking me for donations for various candidates and causes as well and sure it gets annoying but let me remind you that we are living in a post Citizens United world where we are being grossly outspent so any and all money, especially from voters, is necessary if we want to defeat the GOP Tea Party.  I didn't put a link to Berkley's ActBlue page, all I was trying to do was help a worried member of this community put aside his/her concern and get proactive.  Yes, I was scolded for "abusing" the EDR list.  Bravo, you called me out.  Feel good about yourself?  Now I did talk to David Nir and the EDR people and I explained where I misunderstood how I was going overboard and I have stopped doing so and things are patched up now.  My diaries continue to get picked for the posts because there aren't enough people in this community writing about certain Senate and House races.  Plus the EDR people like them.  Don't get me wrong, I enjoy reading diaries about Elizabeth Warren and Tammy Baldwin but there are other races and if we want control of the Senate and House, we need to also focus on other races as well, especially the tight ones in North Dakota, Arizona, Indiana and Nevada.  Every day I see three or four diaries about Gallup Poll this and ABC/Washington Post that.  Of course I read these diaries and I'm concerned too but I am not going to engage in the panic mode or skeptical attitude that we are going to lose like some people in this community too.  So yeah, asking or even suggesting donating to someone's campaign might be annoying but at the end of the day, if I can help great candidates raise the funds they need, I feel more confident in them winning.  If you don't like people asking for donations, ignore them.  If you hate people like me so much, that's kind of sad.
