    ...really I haven't seen anything out of Gravis, anywhere, ever, that gives me a good feeling. Not that I've conducted a comprehensive study.

        On the one hand, I haven't seen any real evidence that Gravis makes numbers up as it goes (although some of the numbers make me wonder!). So I'm not on board with the strong claims of fraud.

        On the other hand, assuming that Gravis does conduct polls, the work and reporting appear to be shockingly bad, out of conformity with professional norms. It makes me wonder: what has Gravis done to merit any credence?

        It's not a rhetorical question. I'm not going to assume that I know something that Mark Blumenthal doesn't. But the last time I had this bad a feeling about a pollster, it was R2K. Not that my feelings should be dispositive.
