  •  It's because of Holder's Pot Raids (6+ / 0-)

Like they say, libertarians are republicans who like a bowl.  They're not going to get it from either Willard or Obama.

    •  Exactly (5+ / 0-)

I wrote the campaign and the President both and told him that allowing Holder to go after to dispensaries was a HUGE mistake and that people did not want their money going to something States had decided.

I think it was a mistake, for Obama, in an attempt to erase that "black people are lazy pot smokers on Welfare" image that Fox, Rush and all the rest imply.....

Anyhow, notice there hasn't been any raids in a couple of months..... little too close to the election.

BTW, I am voting for Obama, not Johnson.

      •  is that why he did it? (0+ / 0-)

I thought it was because we have laws in this country and pot is against the law.

      •  If Willard wasn't such a rat.... (0+ / 0-)

....I might have voted Johnson as a protest vote over this.  But pot is only one issue, Rmoney is no better than Obama on it and the economic part of the Libertarian platform is disgusting.

But a moderate Republican, like Jim Jeffords or Lincoln Chaffee, might have gotten my vote.  The GOP getting taken over by Teh Crazees was the best thing to ever happen to the corporate hacks of the DLC.

      •  I agree that this was and is politics. (0+ / 0-)

No excuses. The question then becomes
exactly why, if this administration has for
its sole interest the retainment of power?

I am no expert on polling nor demographics,
but this particular vulnerability may be due
to more than one driving factor. Some of the
420 single issue crew definitely bleeds into
the anti war MIC group, and I suppose that
some of each of these individual factions might
go full galt, considering their ages and influences.

I do not see the majority of either lefty faction embracing
the full on ideology of the libertarians snake oil routine.
I suspect the ardent capitalist subset of the decrimmers,
profiting like a status quo mo fo, to be somewhat sanguine
in their crackdown protestations. As might the fully vested
legal, judicial, and enforcement subgroups of the PIC.

It might be a wash, electorally speaking, in other words,
and thus, may be the largest reason that no greater mass
cry for the deliverance of long overdue justice has emerged.

Considering the POTUS own confessions of youthful
'experimentation', I do not find it his benign neglect
of this particularly surprising. I am hoping that a second
term, along with a more friendly congress, will prove
once again, that the arc of progress bends towards justice.

Hilarious call in responses to Johnsons recent
        appearance on CSPANs Washington Journal.
Even when they most absolutely did not mean to be.

Thanks for all of your efforts.
