It is not only Latinos that unconsciously read dominance and submissiveness in body language.  We all do.  Saying it is a Latino characteristic in particular is insulting.
All the races display the Pavlovian response.
Actually, the NM Hispanics that I know considered Obama to be weak long before the debate.  He always starts negotiating with the Republicans from the right making concessions before they are even required.
Yes, he needs to up his game not only in form but, in substance.

    •  so, we're voting based on "dominance" (1+ / 0-)

F' what's good for the country! We want dominance, and that's why i'm writing in TRIPPLE H for president. GEEZ! Knowing shit and doing a good job is SEVERELY OVERRATED.

Chief Justice John Roberts to President Barack Obama: "I'm not always there when you call, but I'm always on time..."

      •  Well, it is well known that much of communication (0+ / 0-)

is non-verbal.  Body language is more telling than words.  We see the result from the last debate.
I did not watch the debate, so that is not what influences my vote.  I can believe that low info voters that watch the debate are influenced by non-verbal cues.
