  •  All in all, it's been quite discouraging (4+ / 0-)

    to see that Romney is back in the game and that he has a plausible chance to win the election.

    I had the impression that the number of "undecided voters" remaining were not sufficient to materially impact the outcome.

    But from what the polling suggests, the first debate really moved a large number of people into the GOP camp.

    It feels like many of the debate watchers were seeing Romney for the first time and had not seen much or anything at all from his previous campaigning.

    So voila, we get to see Moderate Mitt who basically repudiates everything that he has said the past 2 years. And he was polished and energetic and aggressive. He looked like he wanted the presidency.

    It would be brutal to be up late on Nov 6 and watch the returns from Ohio and have the networks call this election too close to call at midnight.
