  •  Ryan said the very opposite! (7+ / 0-)

He said abortion law should not be decided by "unelected judges," but should be decided state-by-state.

Rights inhere in humans and are thus NOT a matter of majority opinion. In his play for Tenthers/states rights, and knowing full well that the media would not look closer at his words, Ryan effectively said there is NO FETAL RIGHT TO LIFE; FETAL LIFE IS A MATTER OF FASHION TO BE LEFT TO MAJORITY RULE, STATE BY STATE.

The rape and incest exception reinforces this conditionality: in essence, life is sacred unless we don't like the daddy.

I would love for us We have to force people to shit or get off the pot on this. Either:

    >> You are for a woman's right to choose without condition

     -- or --

    >> You are 100% against abortion in all cases because life is sacred without condition.

The "exceptions" route is utterly hypocritical and intolerable, and accomplishes nothing except to inflict pain on women who are pregnant or fear they are pregnant. As an added bonus, it rules out the use of deadly force in acts of self- or other-defense, even in the most dire circumstances; capital punishment; and acts of warfare. Sacred is sacred 100%, right?

    !! Four more years !!
