  •  I'll be impressed when a majority of TX voters (0+ / 0-)

start behaving like decent human beings at the ballot box, not just because they show up.  Until then, the only thing they'll do with democracy is keep electing treasonous fascist scumbags who constantly try to tear it down.  I'm glad they'll get a better chance to change with more people involved, but as long as their collective voice just keeps declaring jihad on Western civilization, what the hell is the point?

    •  Oh, clearly no point at all. (7+ / 0-)

      We're all D O O M E D, I tell ya!

      But seriously,

      What on earth, T?

Yikes, no credit for what we are doing, until it all is just like you think it should be?  We get no props for heading the right direction, until we've achieved the result you tell us?  The journey is pointless, until the end has been reached?

Why even speak to us until we get there?

Ouch, man, but jeez, lighten up.

      •  I'm completely supportive (0+ / 0-)

of Texas progressives and what they accomplish.  I just won't be impressed with Texas until it starts listening to those people.  There are no possible excuses for a state that is still by and large proud of its association with George W. Bush and Dick Cheney.

It feels like a broad brush at this end of the paint.

I suppose I was looking for a nuanced distinction between those of us working to change things, and the state as a whole.  The punishments will cease when morale improves.

OK, all of you back to work!

          Texas is Blue now.

Texas has a bunch of loud mouthed bullies of the Rush Limp and Adelson type, but the percentage is like 40% at most.

They depend on voter suppression and voter exhaustion to stay in power, however in my opinion the Republicans here are gentle compared to those in Alabama or Tennessee.

by the way we Democrats in Texas fight back, despite being  presently outnumbered by Republican nitwits?

Gee, sorry we aren't meeting your expectations. I promise you, we'll try to do better, not because we care about what you think, but because we care about how our fellow Texans and our fellow Americans are doing.
