    and there are only a handful of pollsters who have the money to get it right (ABC/WaPo)?  and what if Gallup is pissed?  how many good national polls have we had since the first debate?

      but the Obama campaign isn't doing itself any favors by attacking public polling.

      Not to dredge up ancient history, but the President went out of his way to smother the organizations on the left that could have provided this kind of counter-narrative.

      •  I agree this direct assault on Gallup seems unwise (0+ / 0-)

        Maybe they see something in the shaping of the media narrative or donor behavior that required this, but it would've been better to do a conference call or memo on things OFA feels comfortable disclosing about state of the electoral college, demographics, and general stuff about what good polling does to get sampling right.  No mention of specific public polls.

        But I'm an armchair quarterback, what do I know?
