  •  I think the real thorn in their side (5+ / 0-)

which continues to offend their righteous hate, is that the administration had the nerve to call out a sleazy, right-wing, Islamaphobic video as the reprehensible and mindless provocation that it was (and didn't just shout "terrorists!")

    Please proceed, Governor.

    •  Also, there were several dozen additional riots (5+ / 0-)

and protests occurring through out the Middle East and North Africa during those 4 or 5 days.

Having our state department shout out "terrorists," "terrorists," may have actually inflamed the protests, and created more violence.

This is the other reason I think they were treading carefully in the first few days, it was hard to know if Benghazi was an isolated event, or the start of a large forest fire.

It was smart strategically to diffuse the situation and blame the dumb movie, even if they knew early on it had been more than that at the consulate.

Do to the Republicans under funding of protecting our other Embassies, who knew if we did have all the protocols in place to withstand dozens of additional attacks?

The Benghazi incident ended up being one tragedy.  Why, in the middle of trying to access the situation, would the U.S take the chance to create more, with "Mitt style" harsh rhetoric coming from the state department?

I spoke with my niece, and their were protests occurring in Dar Es Salam as well, did we really need more people turning violent?

Republicans never think smart, instead they always shoot first, and aim later.

Mitt cannot step foot outside the U.S. without insulting people, and yet he thinks he would do better in delicate diplomatic situations.

He might be the person American's should be "terrified" of.
