You seem to have more time for reading than I do, but our tastes are similar, and similarly eclectc. I recently finished COOLER, SMARTER and REVELATION SPACE. After finally reading Doris Kearns Goodwin's TEAM OF RIVALS, I'm returning to Alastair Reynolds' sequel, REDEMPTION ARC. Another recent read was my favorite spy novelist, Alan Furst; his MISSION TO PARIS should appeal to all his fellow Francophiles, as well as to fans of realistic spycraft. Those not familiar with Furst should begin with NIGHT SOLDIERS, still his best in my opinion. Most Daily Kos readers already know of Rachel Maddow's DRIFT and Chris Hayes' TWILIGHT OF THE ELITES, but I can heartily recommend both to those who haven't.
