  •  He was trying to dodge the china investment issue (23+ / 0-)

by making it a "everybody does it" or "both sides do it" kind of thing.

The argument that anybody who has a mutual fund is probably invested in China is probably correct.   But that's a case of Romney doing too technical an argument for most voters.  (and for those like me, who understood it, we realize the difference between owning stock in a mutual fund that holds stock in some slimy companies and actually teaching companies how to outsource to China, and encouraging it as a business model, then profiting on their stocks and dividends)

    •  Romney is possibly the most venal candidate in (9+ / 0-)

recent memory. Clearly they do not like each other and I was wondering about that and think perhaps aside from being polar opposites Romney may just remind our President of the slefish sleazy people he had to deal with as a community organizer. Romney represents the very worst of America, in his supporters, his lack of ethics and his lack of patriotism. For someone to move jobs out of this country when the economy is crashing or trying to come back is absolutely reprehensible. More disturbing still is his inability to see the wrongness of what he does and to believe everyone who can does. How can we possibly elect a leader who doesn't even believe in this country? Please don't tell me he does it because he has investors, Warren Buffet has investors and has done very well betting mostly on America.

    •  But he didn't dodge immigration altogether. (2+ / 0-)

He said that he would "never give amnesty" to those that came here illegally.
And he wonders why Hispanic/Latinos don't support him.

    •  How does Romney know what's in the (0+ / 0-)

president's pension.  He made a definitive statement:

Look at your pension. You also have investments in Chinese companies. You also have investments outside the United States. You also have investments through a Cayman’s trust.
If this quote is accurate, has Romney had someone looking into the president's finances and holdings?

I wish someone would release Romney's tax returns, especially those from 2009.

      •  Those are blind tax returns, like his blind trust, (0+ / 0-)

Romney is the only one that is going to see them.

I give the Big Bird to those who say Obama lost the debate.
