I voted and canvassed last weekend, and I'll be canvassing (but not voting again, unfortunately) this weekend. Our area is pretty red, but there was a very steady stream of people voting early last Saturday at the Board of Elections, so I'm optimistic.

I also voted and canvassed for Sherrod Brown and all Democrats down the ballot. There are a lot of people on the fence, and the "OMG Obama's War on Coal" crap is making it tough to reach some young people. Overall, though, almost no one around here really loves Romney.

I have been doing the same thing in southwest Michigan near Lake Michigan.  Actually, Susan Axelrod has been canvassing her as they have a summer house here.   Great lady and working hard.  Enthusiasm here has been great and we finally have a great viable Dem running against 26 year R incumbent, Fred Upton, chairman of the Energy and Commerce committee.  Our guy is within 5 points and Monday the DCCC notified him that they are going to start funding his efforts as they see him as a viable candidate--first Dem they have ever backed running against Upton.  Great news.  We don't, unfortunately, have early voting.  Sorry to hear about the coal folks, reality is hard to face when your livelihood is becoming a thing of the past.

I wish you continued continued success with your efforts for the campaign and praying we can again get a great guy elected President.
