while the Pope was speaking in St. Peter's Square.  I have no idea what I would have done had I been outside and somehow found myself near him to be blessed.  I might have chanced it hoping he might spontaneously combust from blessing me and my evilness.  hehehe ;P

He blessed us from his apartment window.  It was the entire square at once.

from me then.  Anyway, I never saw him.  Our guide was really smart, she kept us in the museum and the Sistine Chapel until right after he finished speaking that way we could get into the Basilica when there was few people in it.  Made taking pictures that much easier.

The Raphael painting where Jesus seems to follow you as move down the corridor was more disturbing.  Reminded me of being in the library section of the Haunted Mansion ride at Disney.  If I had been a young tyke seeing that for the first time especially since I went to a Lions Club camp that had us watch religious programing on Sundays (Don't get me started on that), I might have gone full fundie.  Thankfully, my first trip to Italy was only a couple of years ago.
