The idea behind the poll seems to be to analyze whether or not there are gender differences in how voters prioritize issues.   I don't think it is necessary for that purpose to ask which side of the issue the respondent falls on, although I suspect they probably have party ID data on respondents.

    •  When you have an OBVIOUS QUESTION (0+ / 0-)

as to what an answer really means & fail to include any sort of followup to address that, it's malpractice. Not 1 out of 10 undergrads in a Survey Research course would make that sort of mistake.

Fuck the mythical “moral high ground”. There’s plenty of time to shower after the election. (h/t danah gaz (fka gaz) @ Balloon-Juice)

That you sometimes have to make choices about what you can ask, based on how long of a survey you are able to have.

Your participation in these comments suggests that you would not be good at putting together a survey because you appear to be emotionally invested in having results that you can use for a political purpose.

It would be reasonable to wonder about crosstabs with the question about who the respondent thinks would better handle certain issues.  If you had left it at that and expressed your desire in a sane manner, then I wouldn't have had a problem, but you put forth an unjust claim of research malpractice and (jokingly?) suggested shooting someone for it.
