We know what's ahead.  "He didn't say....."

thinkers haha—and the right is full of that :p.  Well, it's full of other things, too ;).

But my point is that at least we know what it is that is coming if it indeed comes.  Obama did not make a gaffe.  He did not misspeak.  It wasn't verbal misstepping and it can't even be classified like 'binders full of women' was.  All we have to do is have the sense to call bullshit on the other side until it dies down, if it even picks up.  This is largely unavoidable; any time someone takes something out of context, they can apply it to further some point or narrative.  It's the same with polls.  But we can't stop taking polls, and we can't stop talking, just to prevent the other side from saying, "He didn't say..." or "That poll doesn't support...".  We just have to point out the cherry-picking and the bullshitting as it happens.

Of course Obama didn't make a "gaffe".  Doesn't matter.  The right wing media machine will crank this one to eleven, and CNN and then the rest of the media will follow the lead.

Very bad time for this.  It was a stupid line of questioning by Stewart anyways -  at this point in the election Stewart should have been lobbing softballs unless he wants Romney to win.
