  •  that one goes so far past my pacifism limit.... (6+ / 0-)

.... that if I started commenting on it any more than this, I'd be highly tempted to say something that would get me banned the next time Markos sat down at his terminal.

So I'll leave it at this:

Rapists have the right to remain silent under questioning.  If they give up that right, anything they say can and will be used against them in a court of law.  They have the right to be represented by an attorney.  If they wish to exercise that right but cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for them by the court.

After that, they have the right to a speedy and fair trial by a jury of their peers, to testify and to call witnesses in their own defense, and to cross-examine all witnesses.

And after that, they have the right to not be subjected to cruel and unusual punishment.

Aside from that, lock the bastards up and throw away the key.

And their supporters and enablers would make great cellmates for them: they can flatter each other until the day they all drop dead.

"Oh, you would have been a great father."

"Thanks.  You would have been a great defense attorney."

"Thanks.  Let's raise a toast to the unborn children!"

"Yeah.  Lemme' fill up a couple of paper cups from the faucet here, it's luke warm but it'll have to do..."

    "To the unborn!"

    "To the unborn!"

    Glug, glug, glug.

"Minus two votes for the Republican" equals "plus one vote for the Democrat." Arithmetic doesn't care about their feelings either!
