  •  Members of Congress are immune from (4+ / 0-)

prosecution for what they do in the performance of their duties.
The only recourse against Issa is for him to be fired by the electorate. The story line, widely disseminated by the press, that voters' actions don't count is designed to distract the electorate from the powers it has. If elections are focused on whether a woman's nether regions are going to be supervised by scofflaw legislators, then no attention will be paid to their efforts to upstage the executive and run foreign relations into the ditch.
Why would they want to do the latter? Why do vandals destroy what others build? Envy.

Obviously, that's not something to expect from this Congress.  If the Democrats take control, I think the very committee Issa has been chairman of could then investigate him.  I think they could do that whether or not he is re-elected.

We're all pretty strange one way or another; some of us just hide it better. "Normal" is a dryer setting.

      •  Yes couldn't they cite him for (0+ / 0-)

contempt of congress or something like that?
