I don't care if he's "in charge of the outsourcing" or not--the fact is, this is what he represents.
Is this not Obama's "tenure"? If Obama can't or won't do anything to stop this kind of outsourcing during this term, why think he will do it next term?

I'm not voting for Romney, obviously. It's just not really a good argument "vote for Obama... because if you don't, these same things that have already been occurring in his first term will keep occurring".

GOP senators block top Obama jobs initiative

Washington (CNN) -- Senate Republicans on Thursday blocked the No.1 item on the president's congressional "to-do-list," refusing to allow a vote on a bill that would give tax breaks for companies that "insource" jobs to the U.S. from overseas while eliminating tax deductions for companies that move jobs abroad.

In voting against the bill, Republicans raised both substantive and procedural problems with the measure.

Dems in Congress have proposed a new law that would have incentives for bringing jobs home and would make offshoring expenses not deductible for US federal income tax purposes. Even if that bill passed, and I support it, it would have little impact on corporate behavior. The President's ability to impact the market through tariffs, or other means, is limited by the WTO and other free trade agreements the US is a party to.

Corporations are free to change the location of their manufacturing to a different state, or Mexico or China and there is little that the US government can do.

      "let's talk about that"
