Any idea if these numbers are helping Walton Dalton? If N.C. elects Pat McCrory they will regret it.
Part of the problem is that McCroy has done a good job of convincing independents and even more than a few Democrats, that he would govern more like he did as mayor of Charlotte than he would as the candidate who has spent the past two years kissing up to the nutcases that have run the legislature since the 2010 election.

govern N.C. like he did Charlotte they obviously haven't been paying attention to where the GOP has been going of late, which is way to the right.

As a native North Carolinian I was always proud that N.C., while a Southern state, was a bit more progressive than the Deep South. I live in Georgia and the politics here is horrible and the educatation system is a joke. I'm afraid the GOP will turn N.C. into a Deep South shithole. For the record, I plan to move back to western N.C. in 2013, once I unload the house. I can no longer take the weather or the politics down here. Too hot and too stupid.

...but it seems to be the only thing that really makes much sense given that the approval rating of the legislature is even worse than those for Gov. Perdue, yet people seem willing to let the Republicans run the show by electing McCrory.

After 22 years in Arizona, I'm plotting a move too for the same reasons;  too hot and too stupid here.

My brother lives in Charlotte, so it's on the short list of places to relocate to.
